Events for the Village Community
Uthiramerur Village, Near Chennai - India
Almost 80% of the village of Uttirmerur is linked to the business of the Bengani Trust founders. Striving to give back to the community that has contributed to their success, Bengani Trust actively assists in any village events that take place throughout the year. By donating and participating on various occassions such as temple inaugrations and venerations, weddings, annual functions or blood-donation/health camps, Bengani Trust has earned much respect amongst the villagers.
Health Camp
Uthiramerur Village, Near Chennai - India
​In December 2011, Bengani Trust held its first healthcare camp consisting of eye and medical check ups for almost 1500 villagers. A team of doctors was appointed to conduct the screenings. Having lived in an area with poor sanitation and lack of basic needs, the villagers were victim to many diseases such as malnutrition and malaria. Bengani trust distributed free medicines and follow-up treatment to improve the lives of many. This camp left a huge impact and has been one of the proudest achievements of Bengani Trust till date.
Educational Advisory Initiatives
Sindhi Model Senior Secondary School, Chennai - India
In collaboration with Sindhi Model Secondary School, the founders' alma mater, Bengani Trust organized information sessions on educating and motivating the students to broaden their horizons and pursue undergraduation overseas. These talks, held in June 2013, were impactful and many students have since applied to various colleges outside of India.
Need-based Scholarship for Students
Uthiramerur Village, Near Chennai - India
​With an aim to promote education for the poor, Bengani Trust has sponsored need-based scholarships of more than Rs. 80,000 and is seeking to continue assisting other students, including those at Sindhi Model School, via the scholarship program.
Diksha Trust Charity Organization
Gurgaon, Delhi - India
Diksha Trust is a centre providing free education and care to underprivileged children aged between 4 to 14. Volunteers from Bengani Trust assisted Diksha Trust in organizing educational workshops and art classes for the children. They also raised Rs.7000 which was used for providing meals to the students. To ensure a long-lasting impact, Bengani Trust volunteers designed useful worksheets and donated story books, dictionaries and educational films for their future use.
